The Bead Society of Eastern Pennsylvania took on Bottles of Hope as a project in 2011.
The Society bought and distributed small bottles to members for decorating.
I have attached a picture of the bottles done so far, 106 bottles.
Most of the bottles are beaded, but we do have a few polymer clay bottles, chain mail bottles, and decoupage bottles. This project was started by a member's wife, whose husband underwent cancer treatment in 2010.
When presenting the idea to the society, she was started to see every hand go up when she asked, "How many of you have had cancer or had a loved one with cancer?"
The BOH will be distributed to the Abramson Cancer Center and the Fox-Chase Canter Center in Philadelphia.
We hope you can add our project to your website as an inspiration to other bead societies.
